Frequently asked questions

Do You Offer Online Lessons?

Yes! Many families enjoy the flexibility of online learning, and we ensure it’s just as effective as in-person thanks to our high-speed internet and professional setup.

How Much Do Lessons Cost?

Please visit our Tuition and Fees page for all pricing details. New students can book a 30-minute introductory lesson for just $48 to get a feel for our teaching style before committing.

When Can My Child Start Lessons, and How Can I Support Them?

Most children are ready to begin around age five, depending on their focus and interest. To support their progress, set a consistent practice routine — 10–15 minutes daily for beginners, and 30–60 minutes for more advanced students. Encouragement and structure go a long way!

Can I Stay During My Child’s Lesson?

We usually recommend that parents wait in our lounge, as many kids focus better on their own. However, all rooms have interior windows, and if your child feels more comfortable with you present, you're welcome to quietly observe.

Do You Offer Recitals, Exams, or Performance Opportunities?

Yes! We host annual student recitals, occasional masterclasses, and help students prepare for Royal Conservatory exams. Our students often receive top marks. We also participate in the Keys Music Challenge—a local competition that promotes growth, performance, and community.

What Happens If We Miss A Lesson or If A Teacher is Unavailable?

Your teacher commits to your weekly lesson and is left with lost time if you don’t show up. We don’t refund missed lessons. If you cannot come to your lesson in person, you can always do an online lesson. However, if you cannot come to your lesson at all, we kindly ask for a 24-hour notice to be considered for a make-up lesson. If a teacher must cancel, they will arrange a makeup lesson with you.
